How do I claim credit for a completed activity that was hosted outside of the Weitzman Education Platform?

Scenario: 

An activity that you have participated in has concluded and you are now utilizing the Weitzman Education Platform to claim credits and download your certificate. This applies for activities that were hosted outside of the Weitzman Education Platform. 

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Make sure that you have created an account on the Weitzman Education Platform before going through the following steps. Reference How do I create an account? if needed.

Access the activity page provided to you. Select Register/Continue tab or Continue button.

Review the activity instructions. Then, select the Start Activity button or Credit in the Activity Progress menu on the left-hand side.

Complete the session evaluation if applicable. 

The number of credits awarded will display

OR

You may have to input the number of credits you are eligible to claim. 

This step is activity dependent. 

After completing this step, select the Next button. 



Select the Download Certificate link to view and download your certificate. The certificate will automatically download to your computer.

Note for Nurse Practitioners:
The platform automatically awards AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ to Nurse Practitioners. For the purposes of recertification, the ANCC does accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ credits, so learners will be able to use the certificate that was populated with your licensing board. 

Also, as per ANCC guidelines, the credentialing center does not want the ANCC logo or language on ANCC certificates. Therefore, the only difference between the certificate nurse practitioners will receive and the certificate nurses receive is that there will be no logo and accrediting body language on the ANCC certificate.
